Morning: OKR Methodology and Strategic Foundations

In the interactive morning session, participants are introduced to the core concepts, structure, and philosophy behind the OKR framework. The session is designed to build knowledge, align thinking, and increase confidence in using OKRs as a leadership tool.

Topics covered include:

  • The origin and evolution of the OKR method (from Andy Grove to modern agile strategy)
  • Why OKRs are the leading framework for focus, alignment, and accountability
  • Key principles and elements of effective OKRs
  • How to formulate strong objectives and measurable key results
  • The role of confidence levels and how to use them in practice
  • OKR evaluation and the role of regular check-ins

This session includes hands-on exercises, including a case study originally developed by Andy Grove, to apply learnings in a practical setting.

 

Afternoon: OKR Working Session for Your Strategy

In the second part of the day, participants work collaboratively in a facilitated session to draft their own OKRs. This session is focused on practical application and tailored to your organization’s current strategy.

  • Drafting team-level objectives and key results
  • Using shared formats to ensure consistency and clarity
  • Reviewing and refining the draft in real-time

OKR Trainer Joern Steinz (MBA)

Your OKR training will be led by Mr. Joern Steinz, MBA. Mr. Steinz is the founder and CEO of OKR Consultants, an innovation and OKR consulting firm based in Hamburg, and a graduate of the EADA Business School in Barcelona. Since 2018, he has been assisting companies with the implementation of the OKR method, providing support both on-site and online.

Prior to founding OKR Consultants, Mr. Steinz amassed valuable experience as a management consultant at Accenture and as a corporate development manager at XING, a platform similar to LinkedIn but tailored for the German market.

Mr. Steinz is a regular OKR lecturer at academic institutions such as the International School of Management (ISM) and the Dual University in Heilbronn. His workshops have an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 on Google.
